Pinehurst Trace, Pinehurst, North Carolina
A Wooded, Established 55+ Community with Low Maintenance Brick Homes in a Charming Town
In the lush Sandhills region of southcentral North Carolina, charming Pinehurst is designed to resemble an English village. It’s a well-known golf destination, as well as the location of Pinehurst Trace, a 55+ community with construction that began in the mid-1980s and completed in 2017, although a few open building sites remain.
The community has 190 single story, single family homes. Nine floor plans are available, and most homes have two to three bedrooms and two baths. Â
Exteriors are red brick with vinyl trim, and every residence has an attached, one or two car garage. A nicely landscaped lawn is standard, thanks to a full-time grounds crew that also power washes homes on a rotating yearly basis.
Home sites are heavily wooded with tall pine trees, giving each homeowner a sense of privacy. Lanes wind quietly through the community. Â
Prices start in the mid- to high-$200,000s.  The HOA fee is $260 per month. Please verify this with a Realtor as prices may change.
Pinehurst (the town) was designed in the late-1800s and has a darling downtown with restored red brick buildings with white framed windows, wooden benches, colorful gardens and boutique shops. The storied Pinehurst Resort has eight beautifully manicured golf courses, and another 34 courses are within a short drive. Eighteen lakes are also close at hand. Â
